Pedagogy of English (Pen a Poem)
A poet is, before anything else, a person who is passionately in love with language. Poetry is what in a poem makes you laugh, cry, prickle, be silent, makes your toe nails twinkle, makes you want to do this or that or nothing, makes you know that you are alone in the unknown world, that your bliss and suffering is forever shared and forever all your own.
We were divided into 5 groups and were asked to choose a topic. Once this is done we were asked to pen a poem on the choosen topic. The given time is 20 minutes.
Our team chose the topic Parents. We wrote about it. On the first few paragraph we wrote about mother and her love. It took us back to the innocent childhood days. In the next few paragraphs we wrote about the sacrifice of our father and the hidden love behind his anger.
This pen a poem was given on the spot without any prior announcement. Yet we gave our best and showed the poet inside us. This activity given by the professor marks the beginning of many poets and a motivation to the budding ones
